Why Wildlife Quest

Wildlife Comes First

Many tours put luxury first and leave little time—or little quality—for wildlife watching. These expeditions are for people who have dreamed all their lives of observing animals in the wild.

  1. Led by a Wildlife Biologist

Kristóf accompanies every expedition. He studied animal behaviour and shares his knowledge of the ecosystems you explore.

  2. Wildlife-First Itineraries

Days follow the rhythm of the animals: morning and afternoon cruises and drives, night outings, and whole days given to the rarest species.

  3. Intimate Small Groups

A maximum of four to seven participants, depending on the expedition, for quieter observation and a more personal journey.

  4. Personally Vetted Destinations

Every location and lodge has been visited first-hand, and chosen because its setting and experienced local guides help you find rare wildlife.

  • Time spent observing wildlife
  • Knowledge of animal behaviour
  • Carefully selected locations
  • Expert local guides
  • Meaningful encounters
  • Responsible travel
  • Income for local communities

Meet the biologist

Kristóf Regényi

Wildlife biologist & founder of Wildlife Quest Expeditions

“Welcome, fellow explorer! Ever since I can remember, my whole life has been permeated by the love of wildlife.”

A young Hungarian biologist, Kristóf grew up watching the documentaries of David Attenborough. During his studies he volunteered and worked in zoos to gain experience with wild animals, and wrote his thesis on animal behaviour. That was not enough—he had to see these animals in the wild with his own eyes.

  • Has personally visited every wildlife location offered
  • Chose each lodge because its location and services help find rare wildlife
  • Accompanies every expedition in person
  • Aims to help fellow wildlife lovers, not to make a large profit

  • Responsible observation

Animals are watched in their natural habitats—from boats, vehicles, canopy walkways and trails—alongside experienced local guides.

  • Suitable wildlife destinations

The chosen destinations contribute to the preservation of the habitats and species you encounter.

  • Benefiting local communities

Accommodation is selected so that your stay provides income for the people who live alongside the wildlife.

  • Respect for habitats and animals

Wildlife sightings can never be guaranteed. Patience and time in the field give animals the chance to appear naturally.
